The newest tourist attraction in Las Vegas is The Highroller at the LINQ. It’s incredibly popular and modeled after similar observation wheels like the London Eye.  Because it is the newest attraction, The Highroller has a reputation of being a bit of a tourist trap, but that was not our experience at all.We nabbed a discounted deal online in advance, and arrived slightly before 5:00pm to redeem our vouchers for tickets. Because of our early arrival, there were no waiting lines! We walked quickly through the queue and were whisked away into an available observation car.

The observation cars are large and comfortable, and the ride is incredibly smooth. Generally speaking, I do not like Ferris wheels, but this design twist on traditional Ferris wheels which the Highroller uses did not bother me.
There’s a variety of options and price points, including day and night rates, adults and children, and adults only “half-happy hour” cars, which offer open bars.
The views during the half hour rotation were beautiful, and we timed it just right. At the top, we were able to enjoy the sun setting behind Mount Charleston while the glittering lights of the casinos started to flicker on below. My only wish was that we would have had a little more time at the top to take in the vast scenery and soak up the moment.
