There are countless romantic destinations in the world. And there’s no better way to spend time than with your loved one. But one thing is for certain: no matter where you end up going, a romantic destination will give you an opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones in an otherwise hectic life filled with work and chores. If you’re looking for some ideas about romantic destinations, but don’t know where to go, this list is for you.
From Paris to Prague, these are 10 romantic destinations for your next vacation. Whether you’re searching for a luxury getaway or a more budget-friendly trip, each of these romantic destinations has something to offer. So, start dreaming. And then book your tickets.
Maui, Hawaii
Maybe it’s because Maui was one of the stops on our honeymoon, but this island tops our list for romantic destinations. Maui is easily accessible but feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, located on the neighboring island of Oahu. Maui is a wonderful place to relax by the beach or pool, sip chilled cocktails, read a book, and reconnect. You may also enjoy an evening luau during your stay! Or, if you want to spice things up a bit, try parasailing! The views of the island are fantastic!
Not sure where to stay? We enjoyed our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua

Venice, Italy
Venice is the epitome of romance. Alluring alleyways and beautiful bridges beckon you to wander into the city, leaving your worries behind as you disappear further into the magic of this city. Venice is the place to leave all your cares behind as you get lost in the labyrinth making your way to famous spots like the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square. Spots further from the heart of Venice allow for quiet conversations shared over fresh pasta and an Aperol spritz. And the echoes of gondoliers can be heard from hotel rooms. Venice is pure magic and truly one of Italy’s romantic destinations.

Bath, United Kingdom
Bath is a beautiful city. In fact, Bath is so alluring much of the spicy Netflix show Bridgerton was filmed here. Imagine strolling quaint streets, taking in Georgian architecture, crossing historic bridges, or soaking away the days’ aches and pains. These things and more can all be done in the city of Bath. Top spots include the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent, and the Circus. It is easy to get from spot to spot by walking. The fact that the city isn’t huge also means it isn’t overwhelming, making it that much better of a place to be close to your loved one.

St. John’s, Antigua
Antigua is known for having some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The sunsets are also spectacular. And the balmy nights have visitors out enjoying evening strolls along the beach or dancing the night away. There are ample resorts to choose from in the area, making St. John’s a great place to escape with your partner. We also enjoyed cruising around the island, viewing the beautiful properties of the rich and famous who call Antigua home.
Not sure where to stay? We enjoyed our stay at Sandals Grande Antigua

Rome, Italy
Rome was the first place in Italy (as well as Europe) that we visited as a married couple. We’ve been back a few times since and just love it! While Rome is a tourists’ city, it is also a romantic city! Yet another city where strolling through large piazzas and down winding cobble streets the perfect way is to spend a day. Add in eating gelato while quintessential Italian music plays in the background and the smell of roast chestnuts fills the air.
Not sure where to stay? We enjoyed our stay at (believe it or not) an Italian convent

Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh is so magical! There are so many places in the city where you can enjoy each other’s company and take in views. Calton Hill is one of the best spots to do this, where you can see Arthur’s Seat, as well as Edinburgh Castle and the rest of the historic city. It is also fun to take a stroll down the Royal Mile and hear the pipers playing nearby. The cooler weather in the city gives you the perfect reason to snuggle up close to your loved one while taking in the sights.
Not sure where to stay? We enjoyed our stay at an AirBnB.

Paris, France
Yes, it’s a bit cliché. But it goes without say – Paris is the city of love! This is just one of those cities that every couple should visit once. It is incredibly beautiful. Stroll along the Seine. Spend hours in a café. Take in the famous works of art. Share a kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower. Just don’t leave a lock of love on the Pont des Art – this romantic practice is causing structural issues. Paris is just a wonderful, romantic city! Our favorite thing here is to find a table outside a small cafe, split a meal, and soak up the moment!
Not sure where to stay? We enjoyed our stay at Hotel de l’Exposition Tour Eiffel

Prague, Czech Republic
Prague has a reputation as a party city, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a romantic side as well. Prague is a great place to stroll ancient city streets, taking in medieval architecture, and getting lost in the moment. Even more special memories can be made if your visit coincides with holiday events that turns Old Town Square into the holiday market space. Cheers to hot mulled wine in the oldest and most significant square in the city!
Not sure where to stay? We enjoyed our stay at Eurostars Thalia

Estes Park, Colorado
Imagine cozying up by a crackling fire, sipping a glass of wine, listening to the breeze in the aspen trees and seeing wildlife right outside your window. If this sounds like your idea of a great couples’ getaway, then Estes Park is the town for you! Small mountain towns offer much romance and Estes is no different. This is a great spot to stroll charming streets or venture into the mountains for some outdoor activity like hiking or biking or take a scenic drive. In Estes, you can travel by aerial tramway to the top of a mountain where you will have views of Rocky Mountain National Park. There are also breweries and a winery in the area, which are great spots to enjoy a bit of time out on the town after a day of adventures.
Not sure where to stay? We enjoyed our stay at The Estes Park Resort and Fall River Village Resort

Palm Beach, Aruba
If beautiful beaches and sunsets that melt into the horizon like butter are what you’re looking for, then you’ll want to head to Aruba. Palm Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Located a bit outside of Oranjestad and near the town of Noord, this is the best spot in Aruba. Here, there are multiple resort hotels which span beautiful beaches with soft sand and crystal-clear water. If you’re looking for a romantic activity, be sure to check out the sunset catamaran cruises!

You’ve highlighted great couple’s destinations. Edinburgh, and King Arthur’s Seat in particular, is one of my favorites.

All of these places look amazing! thanks for sharing this.
Maui and Venice are both super high on my list, but I don’t think I’d say no to any of these places – even the ones I’ve been to before. I can never get enough of Paris, or Edinburgh. Great suggestions. It’s a toss up between Aruba and Maui for the most relaxing place to visit though
