Quarterly Travel Roundup – 3rd Quarter 2019

Hard to believe it is time to write up another quarterly travel round-up! Am I the only person who thinks this year is flying by? For anyone new to my quarterly travel roundups, these posts highlight our travel activities by offering glimpses of things that haven’t made it onto the blog yet! Here we go!

July

While hotter than hot, we spent the 4th of July holiday weekend in Palm Springs, California! Let me fill you in on a little secret…

The heat in the area causes this to be the off-season! You know what that means right? Lower prices and fewer crowds! Seriously this is one of our major travel tips! If you are searching for your next U.S. destination for a long weekend, add Palm Springs to your list!

Our long weekend in this desert hot spot was filled with golf, amazing food, pool time, and exploring the core area of the city. When we really needed to beat the heat, we headed up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for a total different change of scenery and temperature.

August

At the end of August, we ventured off on another “working adult” European backpacking tour. This time, we made our way from the States to the UK. During our time here, we couldn’t have asked for better weather!

We saw festival fireworks, cruised Loch Ness, reveled with rugby and soccer fans, and walked over 125,000 steps that week. It was a great time away from home in one of our highly anticipated travel spots!

September

September was a month of recovery and travel daydreaming. We also realized we might be making some changes to future travel plans… Overall, I would say we needed this month of down time to recover from traveling every 6 weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day. While it is worth it, it can also be exhausting at times. As I type this now, I’m still tired.

You may have noticed, but I updated my logo over the summer! I’m super excited about this! I feel that it captures the spirit of the blog better, especially as we become more and more global in our travels. Plus, it’s finally allowed me to incorporate some of my favorite color into the blog, which tickles me PINK!

I have many more things on my to do list and am looking forward to the upcoming holiday breaks so I can finally have some time to work on them! As always, stay tuned and thank you for following along!
