Latin America is an incredibly culturally diverse region! Filled with beautiful landscapes, wonderful food and people, and ideal weather, Mexico and Central America are great places to plan a variety of trips! With easy access from the USA, we have plenty of posts below to help your plan!

Like most people, when we think of Mexico, we think of the wonderful all-inclusive resorts which are so popular here. It is wonderful to spend time on the beach, soaking up the sun, enjoying a trip where many of the costs are included so there aren’t (usually) many extra expenses. Popular resort towns include Cancun and the Riviera Maya on the Caribbean side and Puerto Vallarta and the Los Cabos area on the Pacific. If this is something you are interested in, be sure to check out the resorts we recommend! However, there are also some pitfalls to staying at places like this. If you want to learn more, read this post!

There is more to Mexico than lounging at your resort or stopping during a port day during a cruise. We had a great time venturing inland and spending the day exploring Chichen Itza! There are also fun places like Xcaret Eco Park. Of course, there still is even more to this amazing country than what we have experienced so far and we can’t wait to start diving in deeper!

Over the last several years Costa Rica has grown increasingly popular. This is one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly countries in the world! Known for its pura vida lifestyle, Costa Rica is the perfect spot to go if you need to get refreshed, rejuvenated and reconnected with nature. If you need a break from the outdoor adventure, be sure to book a tour at a coffee plantation like Don Juan where you can sample pure coffee (and chocolate)!

The Caribbean is one of our favorite regions to visit. Rich in culture and global influence, we’ve met vibrant people, enjoyed wonderful food, and love the laid-back vibe that just can’t be beat.  If I close my eyes, I can hear the rhythm of the steel drums and crashing waves! The amazing warm, turquoise water, white sand beaches, and spectacular sunsets make us feel right at home.

All-Inclusive resorts are huge in the Caribbean.  In fact, this region is known for creating the concept!

All-Inclusive resorts are a great way to get away for a restoring vacation.  We would describe them as beautiful, luxurious, pampering, opulent and relaxing.  If you’re interested in a vacation that involves lounging by the beach, trying a variety of food and tropical drinks, and high-end style all wrapped in to one bundle, an all-inclusive resort may be a good option for you.  Although we’ve recently sworn off all-inclusive resorts for awhile, we still offer a few posts below to help you plan your next all-inclusive resort vacation!
