It’s no secret that we are currently in the midst of a global pandemic. People are getting ill, economies are crumbling, and life as we know it is going to be different for awhile.

For the past three years, I’ve taken the month of May off from blogging. I do this in celebration of my birthday. I love giving myself the gift of time!

All things considered, I’ve decided to take a bit of time off from blogging in advance of my normal break in May. Readership is down for all bloggers as people have more important fish to fry. In some ways, it just doesn’t feel right to keep putting fresh travel content out there right now.

I would encourage everyone to stay safe and healthy. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

When the time is right, I would also encourage people to start traveling again, even if it’s just exploring your own backyard. Tourism dollars are vital to economies and are huge contributors to the GDP. The industry and related businesses will need us more than ever. For now, support local as much as you can!

As things start to settle, posts will come back out on this blog. If you’re still trying to plan some future trips, there are plenty of resources still available here. In the meantime, look after yourself.
