For once, it seems like its been awhile since I typed up a quarterly travel roundup. Usually the months just fly by. In this case, I actually almost forgot about doing it thanks to the end of the year/decade craziness! For anyone new to my quarterly travel roundups, these posts highlight our travel activities by offering glimpses of things that haven’t made it onto the blog yet! Here we go!

October

Believe it or not, I was still recovering from our UK tour by the time October rolled around. It’s a good thing we didn’t have anything planned because I needed to be at home for a bit. Not only did I need to have some down time, but I also needed to tackle a travel issue that had been encroaching its way into our final trip of the year. This took several hours over several weeks with airline and hotel customer service, but was finally resolved to our satisfaction.

November

In November, I did something I haven’t done in about 1.5 years. I went on a work conference. Destination: Nashville, Tennessee. I was glad to have an all-expenses paid trip to my 33rd state. Even more exciting was that my hubby was able to join me. I was glad to finally experience Nashville, but found that I didn’t really connect with the destination. Maybe because I spent most of my time in our hotel’s conference center.

December

For the final month of the year, we headed to the warm, sunny beaches of the Bahamas Los Cabos, Mexico. Yes, you read that right. Remember that travel issue I dealt with in October? We were supposed to visit the Bahamas for a week. However, due to multiple excessive airline schedule changes this was no longer possible. We were happy with our decision to visit the Los Cabos area as an alternative and return to an all-inclusive resort after a lengthy break from this travel style.

  1. Looks like you made the best of the Bahamas airline changes at Los Cabos. Hey, anywhere you can put your toes in the sand under a grass umbrella works for me! (And an all-expense paid trip to Nashville isn’t too shabby, either.) Love it!

  2. Sounds like you finished off the year well and managed that travel issue pretty effectively going to Los Cabos! Completely understand how you feel about not connecting with a city, I think that’s just something that happens when you’re busy working. I find then when I travel for work, it’s always a bit of a different overall feeling than traveling for fun.

  3. HI there! I really do love your quarterly roundup post. The idea of giving a little glimpse into what is going to come is perfect!! Oh, and Mexico Beaches in December may be the best holiday present ever!

    1. Oh, thank you! I’m glad to hear that you like them! They are fun to write up and I hope they’ve inspired you to do the same!

  4. I think travelling for a conference can make it hard to connect with a place but great that you got to take your husband along for the ride.

  5. I totally feel you on the blogging taking a back seat. It’s so difficult to keep up. How awesome that you got to visit Nashville with all expenses paid. You’re so close to finishing all 50 states! I’m looking forward to getting back to Nashville sooner rather than later. I feel like it’s changing so rapidly!

    1. I’m with Ann! Nashville wasn’t my favorite – really didn’t see what all the fuss was about?! Happy 2020 to you guys as well!
