RowHouse Review

As Dorothy said to Toto in The Wizard of Oz, “We’re not in Kansas anymore.” Really, there isn’t much in Kansas, especially Topeka, so it’s good to be home from there…  However, if you ever happen to find yourself in that neck of the woods, you have to make it a point to have dinner at RowHouseThis charming restaurant was found through a desperate search on Yelp. The first attempt at eating there was unsuccessful because the limited seating is strictly by reservation only. However, the reviews on this place were so good and the other dining options were so “blah” it became a mission to eat there the next night.  Upon contacting the restaurant for reservations, the employees began asking a variety of very thorough questions, followed by instructions to show up at 6:30pm. Upon arrival, the door was opened  before the handle was even reached for, and we were immediately whisked inside, where the incredibly knowledgeable and service driven staff set the scene for a top quality dining experience.

The entire tastings menu is thoughtfully planned and artfully crafted based upon what is fresh and locally sourced each week. As RowHouse is only open Wednesday through Saturday, no two menus are the same. They will also easily substitute items if needed (hence the thorough questioning over the phone). They also plan wine by the glass or the flight designed to compliment each portion of the meal it is being served with, so everything comes together perfectly! Start to finish, all this deliciousness is only $45.00 and it was totally worth it!
